Janice Cantieri is a Fulbright Scholar for National Geographic covering the people of Kiribati, an island that’ll completely disappear in the next 50 years because of global warming. She’s in Fiji now, speaking to the people who are from Kiribati but were forced to leave by the British in the 1940s. After this, she’ll be heading to Kiribati to stay there for 9 months.
We talk about her motivation behind this project and how travel has impacted her life. You can read more about that here.
Check out her episode here and learn more about her incredible journey.
