Today’s interview is with Kelly Brooke Nicholls. She grew up traveling, as she lived on a boat in the South Pacific Islands until she was 8 so it’s in her blood. She has lived and worked all over the world and has a special affinity for Latin America where she spent 6 years living, volunteering and later working. This experience led her to do what she does today, working for international humanitarian organization, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF)/Doctors Without Borders. She provides us listeners with really unique perspectives on how to travel, work and make a difference.

We also dive into her international thriller, Reluctant Warrior, which shines a light on the way ordinary Colombian citizens have suffered and continue to suffer, despite the advancement in the Peace Agreement. She wrote this book to celebrate, support and amplify the message of the brave people who risk their lives to protect and make a difference to others. She also wanted to celebrate the rich Colombian culture, especially the Afro-Colombian culture.
